Master FX

Six software effects, engaged per deck from the hardware paddles — plus the MK2's own onboard FX engine.

The six effects

EffectCharacter
EchoTempo-synced delay with feedback trail
ReverbSpace and tail
FlangerSwirling jet sweep
ScalerPitch-quantized effect keyed to your scale
LoopRollerBeat-repeat rolls
BitCrushLo-fi digital grit

Each effect has its own wet/dry, parameter, gain, and a beat-division selector, plus a master FX bus volume — all in Settings → FX.

Engaging FX from the hardware

  • FX PADDLE (one per deck): flick down for momentary — effect on while held, off when released. Flick up to latch it on.
  • The FX select buttons choose which effect the paddle fires.
  • Depth and beats controls ride the effect amount and timing per deck.

Software FX and the MK2's insert/return path

The MK2 routes software FX through its insert/return path, with a wet-only mode and a return-dry amount so the effect return blends correctly with the dry signal.

Hardware vs software FX

The MK2 also has its own hardware FX engine, independent of the app. The hardware/software FX toggle chooses which engine the paddles drive — flip it to hardware and the paddles fire the MK2's onboard effects instead of the six above.

Where the MK2 FX controls sit: HW/SW FX toggle above the display, PARAMETER knob and beat joystick, six onboard effect buttons, one FX paddle per deck, FX DEPTH between the faders
