MIDI & mapping

Settings → MIDI, in two tabs.

Setup

Which MIDI ports the app is talking to, and what any other connected gear is for.

The MIDI setup tab: a Controller card with MIDI input and output both set to Rane One MKII, an External Devices card listing two connected devices with role dropdowns set to expression pedal and custom mapping, and a USB Turntable card setting the CRSS12 and RP-8000 pad surfaces to VU meter

  • Controller — the MIDI in and out for your DJ device.
  • External devices — anything else plugged in. Each gets a role: an expression pedal, or custom mapping to control the app yourself. Play or move a control to make a device identify itself.
  • USB turntable — what a connected turntable's pad surface shows.

Mappings

The custom-mapping list: every target you can drive from your own controller, per deck, plus the mixer.

The MIDI mappings tab with the Deck 1 sub-tab open: a Loops card with bank buttons and seven loop slots, a Pad FX card listing brake, backspin, chop, dub echo, flange, stutter, panner and sweep, a Sampler card with seven sample slots, a Stems card for acapella, melody, bass and drums, and a Mixer card for fader, gain, the three EQ bands, filter and FX on/off -- each row showing either an Assign button or the control already mapped to it

DECK 1 · DECK 2 · MIXER · NOTES across the top, then a card per family: Loops, Pad FX, Sampler, Stems, Mixer.

To map something:

Set a device's role to custom mapping, tap ASSIGN, then hit the control on the device.

An assigned row shows what it's bound to instead of the ASSIGN button.
